Dedication :)

We dedicated Addison on Sunday, which was very special for a few reasons. 1. It was after court so the adoption was final. 2. Luke's parents were there. 3. It was in my parent's church and they were able to do it together. 4. It was the same church that I was dedicated in  5. Paul, Heidi and the kids were also there. :)

I think it went great!! Both of my parents talked, I read a letter I had written, and a member of the church sang. It feels great to have gotten the adoption and dedication done in the same weekend....now she is forever ours and the Lords (although she's belonged to all of us the entire time!)

Dear Addison Grace,

You are my miracle baby, the baby that I honestly didn't think I would ever have. You are also an answer to prayer. I prayed for you--for the baby that would be ours and complete our family. I also prayed for you while your birth mom was pregnant with you; I prayed for your safety and I prayed for wisdom for her. Little did I know that both of these babies were you...you were the baby that would be mine forever, you were the baby that would make us a family. You were-you are-an answer to prayer.

Your daddy and I are not perfect, we will make mistakes. But I promise you that we will do our best. I promise you that we will always be there for you. Listen to you. Believe in you. Support you. We will always love you. I promise that we will pray with and for you. I promise we will teach you about Jesus and His love. I promise that we will try to show you His love in every area of our lives.

I am so thankful that God blessed me with you and chose me to be your forever mommy. Your daddy and I love you very much. Never forget that you are chosen. wanted. loved.
