6 months!

Addison turned 6 months old this past Sunday...where has the time gone?! I just wanted to talk about her :) This will probably turn out to be a very random, unorganized post of my thoughts.

She is a strong baby and always has been. She has been sitting up on her own since she was 4 months old. She loves to stand and has been that way since she was about 3 months! She will straighten her legs when you try to sit her down, she will fuss if you sit or lay her down but becomes instantly happy if you stand her up. She can scoot around on her back and is always in a different position/spot in her crib by morning. She has also started scooting around when on her tummy; she can go backwards, side to side, and is slowly starting to figure out how to go forward. She knows she wants to be on her knees, but hasn't figured it out yet. She tries so hard, then gives up and rolls over :)

She is so so happy..until she gets hungry or super tired, then watch out!! She observes everything and gets so serious until she knows where she is and who she is with.

She has many loves in her little life:
  •  Smiling
  • Laughing
  • Food - especially sweet potatoes
  •  Bath time
  • People - especially her mommy and daddy!
  •  Talking
  •  Her pacifier - she sucks on it, chews on it and can find it and get it in her mouth no matter where it's at :)
  •  Phones
  • Blowing raspberries - it's like a continuous shower...all day long!
But her absolute favorite thing in the world is her cat, Zeus! Zeus will make her instantly happy and he is so patient with her. She has pulled his tail, ears, hair, whiskers (even pulled one completely out), she has poked him in the eye, kicked him, and spit up on him. But he always comes back to her! She laughs at him and tells him all about her day. :)

She is pretty much the greatest baby ever and I am so blessed to be her mommy.

  1. I love how you love her. It kind of makes us remember that we are God's children and He loves us with that amazing kind of love. You're a good mama and God has plans for you both you and your sweet baby. I love you!
